The OPC Client for SNMP enables any SNMP-compliant application, such as IT management systems, to connect to any OPC server. The SNMP protocol is typically used to monitor IT systems however by deploying the OPC Client for SNMP, it is now possible to monitor automated building equipment, plant-floor machinery and remote facilities.
