The OPC Sever for Anybus (Profibus DP-Slave and Device Net Slave)
uses the HMS Profibus Anybus-S card
The GE Profibus Slave server shall use a third party network interface card (NIC) to provide a mechanism to gather and serve data through an OPC DA 2.05 interface. This project is targeted at the GE QuickPanel platform to serve data seamlessly to CIMPLICITY. The QuickPanel resides as a Profibus slave device on the Profibus network. The GE Profibus Slave OPC server serves data from local RAM buffers on the NIC, updated each scan cycle by a Profibus master. The NIC provides all the network functionality and represents the QuickPanel as a slave device in accordance to the target network.
