Overview:
Upon completion of OPC UA Server Software Development (SDK) workshop, graduates will have the following knowledge and skills:
- Learn about OPC UA and Embedded Server SDK
- Understand design concepts, the API, and basic integration steps
- Interact with a variety of embedded targets running SDK
- Learn about advanced SDK concepts such as security, memory management etc.
- Learn tips and tricks about dealing with the SDK
- Troubleshooting and practical exercises
Target Audience:
Developers, Integrators, application Engineers and anyone using the Matrikon OPC UA Embedded Server to develop OPC UA Servers.

Learning Environment:
OPC Server SDK Workshop is held within a classroom environment where a Virtual Box VM image will be provided to each attendee on a USB stick. The attendee needs to install the open source Oracle Virtual Box on their provided laptop or PC. All lab exercises are performed in Eclipse CDT running on an Ubuntu Linux Virtual Machine. |

- Introduction to OPC UA: Architecture Services, Data Access Type, User and Transport Level Security
- Introduction to the Embedded Server SDK: Design concept, Basic integration steps, API Overview
- Practical lab exercises related to the previous content, Interactive demonstration of a variety of embedded targets running the SDK
- Advanced SDK Concepts: Security, Memory management, User authentication, Address Space construction, File Transfer, Slow data sources and deferred read operations, Asynchronous mode, Tips & tricks
- Practical lab exercises related to the previous content
