OPC Client for ODBC
Logging OPC data to SQL and other ODBC-compliant databases has never been this easy.
The Matrikon OPC Client for ODBC enables any ODBC-compliant database to exchange
process data with an OPC Server. Users can log data from OPC to their database
without any prior SQL experience. There are two main uses for the OPC Client
for ODBC:
Log process values from an OPC server to an ODBC database.
Populate an OPC Server with data from an ODBC database. For example, gas
chromatograph data, stored in a database, can be
written into an OPC server
by way of this application.
Typical Use Cases:
It can store alarm data in a database for analysis.
Data from any OPC Server can be written into the database through
transactions.
Gas chromatograph data, stored in a database, can be written into an OPC
server by way of this application.

Support for ODBC compliant databases such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL,
Oracle, Sybase, etc.
Software may be dynamically configured while online.
SQL statements may be executed directly from the graphical user interface to
aid in testing and configuration.
