MatrikonOPC donates $1 million in kind to the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for Building Environment Technology

Edmonton, Alberta - March 25, 2009

MatrikonOPC is proud to announce that it has made a $1 million in-kind donation towards the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for Building Environment Technology (BET). This contribution was made to help strengthen the future of the Building Automation Industry.

"NAIT is about education for the real world," says Gilbert Requena, NAIT's Chair of Power Engineering Technology. "When our students enter the workforce they will be monitoring buildings from a distance. This donation of software from MatrikonOPC will ensure they know how to use the latest technology."

"We are very excited about the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for BET and are happy to contribute the technologies that will help students become successful HVAC specialists. We are committed to giving people the tools to succeed," said Sean Leonard, VP of MatrikonOPC.

The $1 million dollar donation will come in the form of MatrikonOPC's software and services to support the NAIT Johnson Controls Centre for Building Environment Technology.
