Eric Murphy, BSc, PEng (Alberta), is MatrikonOPC’s Global Solutions Architect. He graduated as a Chemical Engineer with a Process Control specialization. After working with Honeywell’s software development team, he came to Matrikon as an OPC developer, and later with the Project Management group. Over the past several years, Eric has been leading the MatrikonOPC development, R&D, and QA groups in creating innovative OPC products. His current role leverages his industrial OPC experience to work closely with our partners to architect reliable, forward-looking OPC solutions. Eric is currently the chairman of the OPC Historical Data Access (HDA) working group, and a member of the OPC Technical Steering Committee (TSC). He is also an active member of the OPC Unified Architecture (UA) working group. A portion of his time is spent presenting on-line OPC webinar sessions and conducting OPC training courses around the world. |
