Overview
This is the third in the OPC Architectures webcast series, and it tackles one of today’s hottest topics – OPC Security.
This webcast applies to everyone in all industry verticals. Anyone who is working with OPC needs to attend this webcast to get the quick and dirty facts about OPC security.
Topics to be covered:
- COM/DCOM Security Techniques
- Security techniques using off-the-shelf products
- Push architectures
- Guaranteed OPC security with Tunneling technology
OPC systems include OPC Servers and OPC Clients. OPC Servers represent the largest risk out of all the components because they typically have direct access to devices and data. While it is fairly trivial to introduce an OPC Client to an unsecured point in a system, it is much more difficult to install and configure an OPC Server to interface with plant resources. Therefore, this webcast will concentrate mostly on securing OPC Servers from unauthorized OPC Client access and restricting authorized OPC Clients to only the functions necessary.
Join us for this in-depth webcast as we delve into the world of OPC security and explore some real life system architectures and see how OPC has been used to keep data secure.
