Problem:
The OPC server stops updating the client with item values after two hours. |
Solution:
Some OPC servers only support hardware licensing (HASP keys), versus software key licensing. For those products, if the HASP key is not detected on the printer port, the OPC server will run in demonstration mode and stop updating after two hours. You can restart the OPC server to reset the two-hour period.
If you have a key installed, check that the correct HASP hardware key is securely fastened to the parallel port. If it is, run the HINSTALL program that is located in the MATRIKON\COMMON directory under Program files with the /I parameter. |
