Problem:
The OPC server does not show up in a list of locally or remotely available program IDs in my OPC client application. |
Solution:
Make certain that a user with local administrative rights installs the OPC server so that it can create the necessary entries in the registry.
Also, especially for older OPC clients that do not use the OPC Server Browser, make certain that the client is running as a user that has read access to the registry. |
