The MatrikonOPC Server is an OPC compliant server enabling data interchange between OPC clients and ABB Controllers via the ABB Information Management Station (IMS). A data server, provided by Matrikon, resides on the IMS computer and utilizes the ABB AdvaInform API to communicate with the controllers. The OPC server communicates with the data server via TCP/IP providing read and write data access, as well as enabling the cross-platform functionality. The OPC server is self-optimizing and self-configuring to provide easy, efficient, and reliable data transfer.
