This OPC Server enables OPC compliant applications to access data from both Fisher ROC RTUs and Emerson Floboss computers, including later model devices like the ROC 809 RTU. The server supports both the ROC and ROC Plus protocol.
The MatrikonOPC Server for Emerson ROC Plus is now powered by the MatrikonOPC Framework™ - the most trusted name in OPC technology. This MatrikonOPC Server features the following advanced MatrikonOPC Framework™ function:
Device Level Redundancy: This MatrikonOPC Framework™ function makes it possible to maximize OPC data reliability by enabling the OPC Server to access multiple data-sources in a redundant fashion without the need for specialized hardware and/or additional custom software.
The OPC Server is SCADA class and includes support for:
- Streaming TCP/IP connections with RTUs
- Multiple communication channels at the same time:
- Serial
- Radio
- Dial-up (including dial-in and dial-out)
- Optimized for low-bandwidth and noisy communication channels
- Transferring ROC device alarms & events to a database or text file for collection and archiving (for specific devices)
- Supervisory control using single-destination and broadcast commands
- Supports login option for ROC300 and ROC800 series devices
- Supports DemandTimesync control item for device level, group level, and channel devlinks.
- Download of RCD Files from ROC devices
- Item list automatically being populated through download of device configuration file.
