solution, Matrikon was able to offer an easy, cost-effective, and off-the-shelf
answer.

Singh, an engineer in the Flow Computer Division of Emerson, was presented with
the task of moving data seamlessly from a fiscal metering device into an OSIsoft
PI based revenue management system. To do this,
Matrikon's OPC server for
Modbus was used. This particular application required that data from a
FloBossTM S600 be moved into an OSIsoft PI Historian to be then used by a
revenue management application. Emerson's FloBossTM S600 is an advanced fiscal
metering flow computer for gas and liquid.
Emerson came to Matrikon to provide the connectivity they
were looking for and the result was a success! Not only was Mr. Singh of Emerson
given a solution that was easy to implement but also it was very cost
effective. Mr. Singh was very pleased saying "My experience with Matrikon was good". As
a result, Emerson will be adding more FloBossTM S600 flow computers to their
customers recently configured system.
