Description:
In late 2006, The control system interface software in the facility’s R&D pilot plant failed. This system was used by Intermediates Technology R&D engineers and technicians to collect critical process data from various experimental runs. Under the failure conditions, data from only 25 per cent of the process could be obtained, significantly hampering research and development capacity.
