OPC2XL Manual

This document explains how to install, configure, and operate the OPC Excel Add-in. The Add-in allows you to access current and historical data in an Excel workbook from OPC Historical Data Access (HDA) and OPC Data Access (DA) servers.

OPC is an open industry standard for communicating process control data between software packages and plant floor devices such as PLC and DCS systems. The Matrikon OPC Excel Add-in provides a series of array formulae and dialog boxes to help Excel users to build new formulae. These formulae in turn use the Matrikon OPC HDA Automation Component and OPC DA Automation Component to access data from one or more custom OPC DA or HDA servers.
