Historical OPC HDA

OPC HDA connectivity makes this maintenance approach possible by providing transparent access to the wealth of information available in plant data archives. In a mature control performance assessment application, historical data is collected and cleaned automatically, performance measures are calculated, and reports are generated and distributed to key individuals in the maintenance work process within a site. Reports flag the “bad actors” requiring immediate attention and provide diagnostic information relative to the problem. Some applications provide additional functionality, which allows organizations to pull HDA data from multiple facilities to a single location to benchmark performance across several sites. In this manner, strong central technical resources can be leveraged across many sites.
